Silkworm Omelette

Start your day off right with our Silkworm Omelette recipe! Packed with protein and bursting with flavor, this hearty omelette is a delicious way to fuel your morning. With tender silkworms and melted cheese folded into fluffy eggs, every bite is a delight. Whether you’re an omelette aficionado or a novice in the kitchen, this recipe is sure to impress. Let’s crack some eggs!

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup cooked silkworms
  • 4 eggs
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1/4 cup shredded cheese (optional)
  • Chopped fresh herbs (such as parsley or chives) for garnish

Instructions:

  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  2. Heat butter in a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Once melted, add cooked silkworms to the skillet.
  3. Pour the egg mixture over the silkworms in the skillet. Allow the eggs to cook for 2-3 minutes, until the edges start to set.
  4. Sprinkle shredded cheese over the omelette, if desired. Using a spatula, gently lift the edges of the omelette and tilt the skillet to let the uncooked eggs flow underneath.
  5. Once the eggs are mostly set but still slightly runny on top, fold the omelette in half.
  6. Cook for another 1-2 minutes, until the eggs are fully cooked and the cheese is melted.
  7. Transfer the silkworm omelette to a serving plate. Garnish with chopped fresh herbs and serve hot. Enjoy your protein-packed breakfast or brunch!
